NAC: Happy Halloween

I suppose I should have waited to post this one on Halloween but I couldn't wait to share this with you guys (my 2 readers). Susan, one of my readers, gave me a great idea with the 3D shapes from my last card. Pumpkins? The first shape that popped into my mind were ovals. Perfect!

This card was pretty easy to make. Just punch or cut out 7 orange ovals, fold them in half, stick one half of the oval to the next one. Then take some green cardstock and mash it up so you break up all the fibers and then twist and shape it into a vine. Put some snail adhesive on the "spine" of the pumpkin and stick the vine to it. I used sticky strip to adhere the pumpkin down to the card. Then stamp "Happy Halloween" on some purple cardstock and cut it out. I used an eyelet to add a little extra somethin to the sentiment and popped it up with some dimensionals. Add some faux stitching around the card and two gems to the center of the pumpkin and viola.

OK, that was actually a lot of steps but TONS easier than my previous card :)

Jaded...soooo cute!! This card would be a great place card for a Halloween dinner...or change your colors a bit for Thanksgiving. Love the simplicity of it!
By the way...I would imagine you have a ton of readers and just don't know it. I was reading your blog for months before I started leaving comments. I think you'd be surprised if you knew all that read your blog. I check you almost everyday..and I can't be the only one! Thanks for sharing all your ideas and cooking creations. If I had your email I would share some of my favorite cooking blogs with you.
