Well, technically our 1st year wedding anniversary is tomorrow 11/05, but we're celebrating it tonight since it's the weekend. Justyn just got back from his San Jose Search & Rescue thing and he bought me flowers. Awww! :)~
Last night (I'm writing about it today cuz I got too tired last night), Justyn made reservations at McCormick & Kuleto in San Francisco that's in Ghiradelli Square. This used to be one of my favorite restaurants back when I didn't know any better, but the view's fantastic, service is great and I always loved their clam chowder and main courses. We arrived in SF a bit early, so we walked around and snapped some pictures. It was such a gorgeous day, not the least bit chilly!
At around 5:20pm our tummies decided that it was time for dinner, even though our reservations weren't until 5:30pm. We got seated quickly and it seemed like it was a slow night for the restaurant which was good because we were both starving.
I ended up ordering the seafood fettucine which has mussels, shrimp, clams, scallop and smoked salmon in a heavy cream sauce. Ohh yeah... this dish was exactly what you're thinking. Delicious! I couldn't finish it all so Justyn helped me out there. He ordered the sashimi platter which was really small for what he got. I believe there was tuna, hamachi, and salmon with two rice rolls cut on an angle for pretty presentation. It also came with seaweed salad, pickled ginger and unpickled carrot & daikon. The fish was extremely fresh.
Were we going to stay for dessert with Ghiradelli a couple feet away? Heck no! We ordered an icecream sundae. Unfortunately, I was rapidly going into a food coma, so I could only stand a couple bites.
It was a perfect evening with great company (I lubs you Bee!). Happy Anniversary to us! I bought Justyn a game compliation called The Orange Box and in return he got me a Nintendo Wii! WOOO! You know what I'm going to be doing tonight. We also got our portraits sketched by a street vendor. I'll try to remember to take a picture of it and post it for your viewing pleasure. Although, you guys are probably sick of me being a mushy dork by now huh? Hee hee.
